1. What We Collect

License keys: When you purchase Pro, we store your license key and the email you provide. This is used for key recovery and subscription management.

Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It tracks page views without cookies, personal data, or cross-site tracking. No IP addresses are stored.

Contact forms: If you contact us, we store your email and message to respond. Messages are retained for 90 days.

2. What We Don't Collect

• Your data: All data processing (charts, cleaning, transformations) happens entirely in your browser. We have no access to the data you process.
• Accounts: We don't have user accounts. License keys are the only identity.
• Cookies: We don't use tracking cookies. The only localStorage usage is for theme preference, language, and license key storage.
• Third-party trackers: No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or advertising trackers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• License keys: To validate Pro access and enable key recovery.
• Email: To respond to support requests and send license key recovery links.
• Analytics: To understand how many people use our products (aggregate only, no personal data).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe has its own privacy policy.
• Cloudflare: Hosting and CDN. They process requests but don't store user data.
• Legal requirements: If required by law.

5. Data Security

License keys are stored in Cloudflare KV (encrypted at rest). All connections use HTTPS. Since we don't process your data on our servers, there's no data breach risk for your content.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you (license key and email).
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your license key and email from our systems.
• Data portability: Your data is already portable — it's in your browser.

7. GDPR Data Deletion Rights (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data under Article 17 of the GDPR (the "right to erasure").

What we store: We only store license keys and the email addresses provided during purchase. All other data (your CSV/JSON files, cleaning operations, chart configurations) is processed entirely in your browser and never reaches our servers.

How to request deletion: Email support@sidequestlabs.app with the subject "GDPR Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your purchase. We will delete your license key and email from our systems within 30 days.

What happens after deletion: Your Pro license key will no longer validate, and you will need to purchase a new key if you wish to use Pro features. Any data in your browser (localStorage) is under your control and can be cleared at any time.

Client-side data: Since all data processing happens in your browser, we have no ability to access, view, or delete the data you process with our tools. This data exists only on your device.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the Service.
